Section XI. The superiority of Unformulated Truth
Subhuti,if there were as many Ganges rivers as the sand-grains of the Ganges,
would the sand-grains of them all be many?
Subhuti said: Many indeed, World-honoured One! Even the Ganges rivers would
be innumerable; how much more so would be their sand-grains?
Subhuti,I will declare a truth to you. If a good man or good woman filled three
thousand galaxies of worlds with the seven treasures for each sand-grain in all those
Ganges rivers, and gave all away in gifts of alms,would he gain great merit?
Subhuti answered: Great indeed, World-honoured One!
Then Buddha declared: Nevertheless, Subhuti, If a good man or good woman studies
this Discourse only so far as to receive and retain four lines, and teaches and explains
them to others, the consequent merit would be far greater.

°µÁö½º°Àº ±æÀÌ´Â 2511km·Î Àεµ¿¡¼ Àδõ½º° ´ÙÀ½À¸·Î ±æ°í Å« °ÀÌ´Ù. ÇÏ·ùÂÊÀº °ÆøÀÌ 16km³ª µÇ¾î ¹Ù´Ù¿Í °°ÀÌ ³ÐÀ¸¸ç, ±× À¯¿ªÀÇ ¶¥µéÀº ¸Å¿ì ºñ¿ÁÇÏ¿© ¿¾³¯ºÎÅÍ ÀεµÀÇ Á¦±¹µéÀÌ µµÀ¾À» ÀÌ °°¡¿¡ Á¤Çϱ⵵ ÇÏ¿´´Ù. µû¶ó¼ ¼öõ³âÀ» µÎ°í Àεµ¹®¸íÀÇ Áß½ÉÀÌ µÇ¾ú°í, ºÒ±³¸¦ ºñ·ÔÇÑ ¿©·¯ Á¾±³¿Í öÇÐÀÌ ÀÌ °÷¿¡¼ ¹ß»ýÇϱ⵵ Çß´Ù.
